About Agnes Montanari

Trained as a lawyer, it is not by chance that Agnes Montanari became a photographer. Following her husband from Algeria to Somalia, Oman, Papua New-Guinea, England, Bangladesh, India, and Serbia, she developed a keen interest in photography, a mean which allows her to capture the emotions of the various countries she has lived in.

She has received a prize for her first exhibition City of Djinns which took place in Delhi, India, in February 2001. Since then, she has worked for various organizations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and UNICEF.

Agnes now lives in Tbilisi, Georgia where she is working on the multi-ethnical aspects of this country.
